We adopted Blaze on August 15, 2017 but sadly lost him on July 10, 2019. He was estimated to be 10 years old but was surprisingly pure strength, pure speed, and pure heart. He could be maddeningly wild and touchingly lovable. He was quirky and fun, and he gave us so much laughter. We were blessed with him for only a short time, but he had an amazing impact on our lives. We know that adopting older dogs is a heartbreak coming too soon. Perhaps being older ourselves, we hope to recognize some of their special needs. With Blaze, however, we believe he recognized our needs far more than we could have imagined. Thank you, Blaze, for all you have given us. We miss you.
