Obituary for Bingo Falce

Bingo Falce

Bingo the Shih Tzu was never our dog, but we certainly were his family. He was six years old when he came into our lives. He had been adopted from Animal Rescue by two of our son’s friends who quickly discovered he was cute and fuzzy, but not cuddly, or even friendly. He was not returnable, so we agreed to provide a temporary place for him to stay until a permanent home could be found.

Bingo moved into our house on his terms. He made it perfectly clear from day one Bingo did what he wanted to do. His ears smelled, he had allergies, he constantly licked his feet. He was annoying, fiercely independent, and cranky. He made it clear he did not like any of us, and truth be known, none of us liked Bingo.

On an early visit to Pleasant Valley Animal Clinic in McMurray, PA one of the Vets suggested several behavior modification techniques. Looking back on those helpful hints we came to realize we learned to modify our behavior to accommodate Bingo. In turn food, shelter and tolerance allowed him to remain with us for eight adventure filled years.

When his health failed we cried as we struggled with the difficult decision to let him go. Bingo was never our dog, but we certainly were his family.
